Four projects in the Geography Department are available for an open competition fully funded 4 year PhD studentship:
- Project 1: Reconstruction of past human and environmental interaction in East Anglia (supervisors Simon Blockley and Danielle Schreve
- Project 2: Early Warning Signs of Abrupt Climate Change: Annual-scale isotopic analysis of Holocene climate events (supervisors Ian Candy and Celia Martin-Puertas)
- Project 3: Evaluating North Atlantic past ocean-atmosphere coupling by analysing and synchronising marine and terrestrial proxy archives using tephra (supervisors Celia Martin-Puertas, Simon Blockley and Paola Moffa-Sanchez, Durham)
- Project 4: Nature based solutions to design multifunctional landscapes for people and nature (supervisors Danielle Schreve and Samuel Turvey, IoZ)
