This is a professional scientific position, responsible for the acquisition, interpretation and publication of detailed information pertaining to the surficial geology of an assigned region in Labrador for use by the mineral exploration, geotechnical, and environmental industries. Duties will include collecting, analyzing and interpreting field and remote sensing data relevant to glacial, geomorphological, geochemical, and/or geochronological studies; supervising field staff; preparing maps, reports, and presentations; interacting with academic, public, and private industry representatives and other users of government data; and other duties as required.
